The first stroke of madness began as the whisper of blackened blades left their sheathes
The night of darkness occurred at a meeting set up by some of the remaining Moon and Wood Elves in the city, as well as some of the less radical High Elves. Meant to promote peace and reinforce the coexistence that had existed for generations between the elves, historical accounts tell of a sudden darkness befalling the hall where the meeting was being held. Onlookers reported hearing screams as for the span of an hour, each and every elf inside was massacred by an unknown force.
