It was a strange thing to see. Races long thought lost to the destruction of the past, frantically trying to escape to this new world through the portals that were opened. How they could help the High Elves, nobody knew.

Led by the King, the High Elves began to study the weave of magic in earnest for the purpose of creating gateways for mass teleportation. Using the strength of the goodly primordial dragons, they were able to contact the leaders of the remaining pockets of resistance in the other dimension, telling them the plan and achieving agreement between the races. Desperate to escape the impending destruction of the old world, Dwarves, Humans, Gnomes, Halflings, and many other races crowded around the locations that the Elves had selected.   On the day of invocation, the High Elves began the ritual. The gathering of so much magic power did not go unnoticed however, and many of the sites were set upon by both the Dark Elves, and their Primordial Dragon allies. In the end, the ritual was completed, and where the world had previously only been inhabited by the Elves, there were now many other inhabitants eager to set out and created their own futures in the world.   Due to the attacks on some of the gates however, the gateways were left open far longer than intended, and indeed some of the magical power ran rampant, transporting many other races in addition to those who were part of the contract. Orcs, Tieflings, Bugbears, and other assorted aberrations and fiends were inadvertently transported to the new world as well.
