The Kingdom of Leganto is the most populated of the three continents and geographically diverse. It is home to approximately 8 million people. Its capital is an enormous city founded after the Cataclysm called Leganto City and the city itself is home to half of the continent's population.
Leganto's northern and western boundaries are marked by the Veil. To the East is an expanse of ocean separating Leganto and Vernillius and to the south is a narrow sea separating Leganto and Caldera.
The continent was divided into six regions with six Lord Regents who are appointed by the king to represent the best interest of the crown and its people in each region. The Lord Regents work alongside local leaders in individual cities to represent the king's will in those regions and relay the wishes of the people to the King.
1. Leganto City
Because of the mass of the capital city, it is considered it's own region. The mayor of Leganto City is the only Lord Regent put into power by election rather than Royal appointment.
2. The North
The northern region is made up of the cities within the northern mountains surrounding the lakes. The three main cities in this region are Snowchill, Arrowmouth and Harn's End.
3. The West
The west is a complicated area of Leganto. It is bordered by the Veil and home to dwarves of Oakcrest, the high elves of Evenfax and the monks of the Temple of Inagi; three very different cultures who have very different ideas on the amount of influence they allow the monarchy to have over their cities.
4. The Hills
Central Leganto is home to many fertile areas and gentle hills and mountains. People of these regions are typically artisans or farmers leading a simple life. The Hills are also home to the Keep of the Last Regiment, the primary training facility and base of operations for the Legantan Armed Forces. The Largest City in this area is Ashaquippa, followed by N'shai and Bella's and Kella's Union.
5. The South
Southern Leganto is home to cities pivotal to the major trade routes through Leganto and to the world. Lok'nissa is the second largest city in Leganto and the largest trade center on the continent. Crestvale is also a major city of trade in this area.
6. The Shores
The Shores encompass most of the eastern coast of Leganto. Although sparsely populated the watchtowers along the coast are mysterious sites for activities related to the government and the Last Regiment. The Watchtowers were erected following Adrienne II's massacre of Leganto City.
