Silph-Mallene
Silph-Mallenne is the goddess of agriculture. It is she who makes sure that harvests are plentiful and that the cow gives milk. She is most often worshipped by farmers and peasants who depend on her graces to make a living.
She is the wife of Dathar-Kane and sister of Su-Uzrillanne.
Silph-Mallenne is often depicted as a voluptuous woman in creamy white and yellow robes. Her hair is the color of daffodils and her eyes are a sparkling, living green. Farmers who worship her depict her likeness in animals of the field; cows, hens, lambs, draft horses, etc. She is also given praise for both the sunshine and the rain. Her colors are the green of the field and the yellow of the sun.
Silph-Mallenne’s holidays occur at both planting time (the Sowing Fast) and at Harvest Time (Reaping Feast). Of all the pantheon, Reaping Feast is, naturally, the largest and most involved celebration, usually lasting three revelry filled nights.
Followers of Silph-Mallenne read The Growing Wisdom a book that details the faith of the goddess of agriculture, as well as guidelines for successful farming.
