Anatolia Dagrazt

The Preserver

During the Age known as the Forgotten Years, Anatolia Dagrazt was the leader of the opposition to a tyrannical potentate referred to as the “Great Overlord.” The Great Overlord held dominion over all of Malatoria, and sought to extend his dominance over other worlds. The conflict between Dagrazt’s rebels and the forces of the Great Overlord precipitated the apocalypse. When the Great Overland caused the apocalypse, Anatolia led a large contingent of people underground into shelters and protective bunkers. The design of these structures was a marvel of science that bordered on (some would argue projected into) the arcane.
Centuries after the apocalypse, Anatolia had somehow stayed alive. The exact cause of her ability to stave of death and persevere is a matter of much debate, but during the centuries underground she often removed to the surface world, bringing back artifacts, technology, and knowledge from the world above. These actions eventually led the underground denizens to name her "The Preserver."
During one such return to the underground bunker near Paludis Oppidum, she told her faithful that she had encountered an area of "incorrigible degeneration" near where the city of Cyrecuze stood in the Sundered Age. After leaving that shelter to investigate this degeneration she was never seen again.
Although rare, some statues and icons in her image persist. She is represented as a faceless woman holding a damaged basket of fruits and flowers.
