Circle of the Sleepless
One of the oldest Organizations of Maladase, the Circle of the Sleepless are ancient defenders of the Elwood. Like most Druidic circles there is little strict unification within the ranks of the Circle, but there is a common cause and values that bind the Defenders of the Elwillow. The Circle was started by the Sleepless a humanoid creature of impossible age and Wisdom from a bygone era before Maladase was established as a country. Despite being the head of the Circle, the Sleepless is rarely seen and never heard. In the modern era, seeing the Sleepless during a Gathering is considered a blessing of the ideas being discussed. Most Druids simply follow the will of the Wilds, but those in the Circle of the Sleepless follow the Will of the Sleepless beyond their own feelings about nature if they are directed to do so by one of these appearances. The Circle of the Sleepless is an eclectic organization, only bound by their dedication to the Wilds and specifically the Elwillow. Creatures of all races and backgrounds are allowed to join, and partake in the Rituals of the Circle of the Sleepless. Though there are very certain kinds of people that stick around. Adventurers from the Circle of the Sleepless are most likely to be Druids, Barbarians, Monks or occasionally Rangers. Some sorcerers that follow the path of Elementalism and nature, and some Warlocks with Fey patrons will also end up as temporary or permanent members of the Circle of the Sleepless. The Circle of the Sleepless has a friendly but tenuous relationship with both the Inquisitors and Journeau Conclave. They see the formers as common trespassers in the Elwillow who care more about stopping the spread of the Deadmarn than defending the Elwillow, which, if we're being fair, is true.
