Vermaillon
Vermaillon is an abandoned mining hamlet, located just 2 days travel west of raider's road in Sommerlund. It is established just north of a small platinum mine, that should have lead to great wealth.
The mine was established without the blessing of Baron Oren Vanalund of Ruanon as he believe the hamlet was too close to the Darklands. The draw of wealth was enough to draw ambitious miners.
The mine closed down within six months of the siege at Ruanon chronicled in The Chasm of Doom. There was a cave-in that lead to many deaths, but shortly thereafter the citizens of Vermaillon drifted away.

Vermaillon is home to a small platinum mine. The mine itself is relatively shallow but was enough to support the construction of the town, and attract a number of miners seeking to find their fortune.
