Zweihänder
Like a longsword for a giant, the zweihänder is a massive two-handed sword that dwarfs even the greatsword with a length of six or seven feet long and weighing as much as 10 pounds, but in the hands of a practiced wielder it is a graceful weapon capable of much destruction. The weapon is most famously wielded by the Landsknecht of Goldaron and is associated as a cultural weapon for the region. In warfare it's used by elite shock troops to break up enemy ranks and create openings for friendly soldiers to exploit. It's an equally devastating weapon in single combat.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The zweihänder deals 2d6/slashing damage and has the following properties: Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed, Special
Special: The zweihänder is long enough to benefit from the Polearm Mastery feat.
Significance
The zweihänder is the cultural weapon for Goldaron and counts as a martial weapon for them only. Characters from Goldan culture with martial weapon proficiency are trained to use this unique weapon. Anyone outside of the culture may only learn this weapon by taking the Weapon Master feat.
