Pilum
The pilum is an improved version of javelin that has been used by Corithan warriors for hundreds of years. The weapon has a normal length spear shaft with a 2 foot long metal shaft and a pyramidal head. The weapon is taller than most men and can be used as a spear in close combat but is mainly used to be hurled at an enemy in close range before closing the distance in melee, it is heavier and more devastating than a typical javelin and can pierce through shields and mail.

The pilum can be used as a spear in regular melee and when thrown does 1d6/piercing damage, it has the following properties: High Critical Weapon, Thrown Weapon (30/120)
Significance
This is a cultural weapon for Imperials and Thuts and counts as a martial weapon for them only. Characters from Imperial and Thutmose culture with martial weapon proficiency are trained to use this unique weapon. Anyone outside of these cultures may only learn this weapon by taking the Weapon Master feat.
