Partisan

The partisan is unusual spear like polearm popularly used by soldiers in Amshiga. It's long stabbing blade has a pair of protrusions underneath to catch the polearms of their opponents and push them aside to stop their attacks from hitting home.

A partisan deals 1d8/piercing damage and has the following properties: Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed , Special
Special: A character trained in the partisan can use their bonus action to gain their proficiency bonus to armor class against a single target until the start of their next turn.

Significance

This is a cultural weapon for Amshiga and counts as a martial weapon for them only. Characters from Amshiga with martial weapon proficiency are trained to use this unique weapon. Anyone outside of Amshiga may only learn this weapon by taking the Weapon Master feat.
