Amshigan

The Amshigan people are festive and colorful with a focus on large extended family and friend networks. As a people they respect the need for rest and leisure as much as hard work and dedication and blend both into their culture in a way that can confound some outsiders. Though the province is perhaps the safest in all of the empire in modern times, it has a strong military history and tradition from the centuries the people spent conquering their own province and on again, off again, conflicts with Goldaron.

Appearance

The stereotypical image of an Amshigan is being short and athletic, with slightly olive toned skin, dark eyes, and straight, black, hair. The reality is that it is not even the most common appearance in the province. Amshigan people tend to be a little taller than average with lithe bodies and rounded heads, the eyes and mouth are usually their most prominent facial features, and the nose, chin, and brow are usually less distinct. Skin color ranges from sandy to copper, blonde hair occurs in some people but shades of brown, brunette, and black are most common, hair is usually straight and sometimes wavy. Grey and green eyes when combined are about as common as shades of brown in Amshiga.
