Northman Axe
The northman axe resembles a greataxe in form and function but mounted on a sturdy ash pole as long as a man to give it's wielder stand off distance between them and their targets. The weapon is unwieldy to the uninitiated on account of its large size and requires some practice to familiarize oneself with the techniques of it's use. Lowland warriors of Ere called Gallowglass use a variant known as a sparth axe.
