Half Orcs mature slightly faster and live shorter lifespans than humans. They reach adulthood at 14 years old and rarely live beyond 50.

Half Orcs speak Common and either Orcish or the language of their native human culture.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Half orcs usually either assimilate with their native culture or their orcish heritage. Orc racial weapons are the Bladed Chain and Double Axe.

History

Half orcs have some problems fitting into imperial society in provinces and assimilate just fine in others. Because of their strength and physically imposing features there are many within the Vigile and militaries and mercenaries don't shy away from recruiting them either. Half orcs can be found performing all kinds of other jobs as well but are most often found as laborers where their strength is an advantage over other species. Their endurance and strength give them an important role in the societies at the empire's frontier.
Outside the empire it is more difficult for half orcs to fit in at all. The nords have many sagas and songs about mighty half orc warriors but nord hatred of the orcs means few half orc children are suffered to live at all. In most societies orcs are relegated to the fringes and often live short, brutal, and poverty stricken lives hardly superior to what they would find with their orcish ancestors.
