The Conclave of Scrolls

The Conclave of Scrolls is an order of archivists dedicated to the preserving of knowledge for all. Members of this order maintain libraries, archives and schools throughout Irralish and beyond. Most settlements have either an archivist of the conclave or a priest of Pharasma who records births, deaths and marriages. These records are routinely backed-up in a central vault of the conclave.

Conclave Vaults are massive subterranean bunkers engineered to withstand any foreseeable catastrophe. Magically excavated deep underground, these vaults are reinforced to defend against burrowing monsters though sometimes dangers do arise and must be defeated among the stacks.
