Nalasin

The nalasin are ratfolk that live near the north pole of irralish in frozen terrain. Like their southern cousins, the nalasin live in tangled warrens but are hunter-gatherers instead of agriculturists as little grows in their land.

Adept alchemists, the nalasin extract alchemical compounds from the geothermally active ground around their warrens and use these compounds in traps for both prey and invaders of their homes. They channel the geothermal heat to warm their tunnels ensuring they can weather the deepest depths of winter comfortably.
