Modern Cultures - Common Cultures

The modern cultures of Magarth are more multicultural than the native cultures (and moreso than their Golarion equivalents). The people that came through the portal primarily lived in one of three megatropolises that had diverse occupants. There was a lot of class and ancestry stratification in these cities (humans, elves and dwarves dominated the political structures of each city respectively) but all ancestries lived together. When these people emerged through the portal, they established a single city that housed all peoples. This new beginning was started with egalitarian principles and a merit based social standing developed. Previously discriminated against families took prominent roles and showed their worth early on, bucking stereotypes and ensuring they were treated as equal members. This is still seen today as many of the different cultures that have developed post the explosion of Thurid have diverse species represented. However, there has been a general separation of peoples as they've spread across the continent. The hardier races have expanded faster and further and those cultures are less mixed.
