Common Usage of Cantrips

Cantrips are commonly known by people throughout the world. Most people can use one or two cantrips. Objects imbued with cantrips are commonly used in everyday life. Enchanting an item with a cantrip is cheap, often costing a few silvers. Below are some common examples of how cantrips are used:  

Acid Splash:

  • Mining operations for purification of ore
  • Disinfection

Approximate

  • Banks and markets almost always have this available for transactions
  • Enables a bartering economy for grain and other such goods
  • Used for detecting damaged or spoiled goods

Bullhorn

  • Public announcements
  • Town criers
  • Performances
  • Battlefield command, often with relays
  • Large venues often have devices enchanted with Bullhorn to help performers

Dancing Lights

  • Performances, lighting displays (colour can be controlled)
  • Lights are enchanted with this but require an operator to sustain the spell.
