Destabilizing Injector

The destabilizing injector is a long, needle-like stabbing weapon, created by Shapeshifters to deal with their own kind as well as other shapeshifting species.
It was created in mind that shapeshifters fighting each other can get messy very quickly.

Usage

When stabbed into a shapeshifter, it will cause them to destabilize enough which will prevent them from being able to shapeshift. Depending on the strength of the destabilizing liquid, it also has the ability to kill them. Stabbing a non-shifting species with it will do the same amount of damage as a knife would.
It is a common weapon used by bounty hunters and mercenaries who have to deal with shapeshifters.

Related technology

The destabilizing injector as been criticized for the need to get up close to a shapeshifter to be able to use it, which has led to the development of ranged versions of the weapon built in a similar fashion as a tranquilizer gun.
