Dzlkali
The dzlkali, native to the planet Znbuli, are a tri-gendered species with natural psionics. They are the second most recent species to be moved into the Conglomerate Grand Council, after humans. Meson particles are abundant in the planet's lower atmosphere due to its very powerful magnetic field. Arsenic is produced in the dzlkali bloodstream and is stimulated by natural electric signals from the nervous system. These psionic powers aren’t very effective at a distance, but are useful for killing prey up close. Early in their bronze age the species discovered they could attach different metal bits to themselves to hone their psionics. Technology took off much faster thanks to these inherent powers. From the discovery of metal-working to first orbital flight was only 1,500 years.
Dzlkali have the largest economy and second largest military in the Conglomerate. Through its evolution the species has relied on the idea of mutually assured destruction to ensure cooperation and compromise overcomes conflict. They are incredibly industrious peoples, able to take any lifeless asteroid and build it into a metropolis. The Milky Way Systems Conglomerate Capital Building was built on Znbuli because of the Conglomerate-wide recognized beauty of dzlkalian architecture.
BIOLOGY
Dzlkali are a semi-quadripedal species with 2 legs, 2 arms, and 2 hybrid limbs. They lean forward from their legs and prop their body up with their middle hybrid limbs, which end in points. Their arms have 4 digits on each hand. Dzlkali range in skin tones from yellow to orange, typically with small black or white spots dotting their smooth skin. The sexual dimorphism between male and female is very apparent, but the third sex, mediator, appears outwardly male. Half of the population are female, and 30% are male, while a mere 20% are mediators. Mediators carry eggs that males fertilize, then the eggs are deposited into a female who gestates the child. Dzlkali have W-shaped pupils to have the widest field of vision possible with forward-facing predator eyes. The species has near-vestigial mandibles that have shrunk in size by half over the last century. CULTURE

The empires are fractured once again into various nations to repeat the cycle. Families are tight-knit and run very strictly by mother and father, while mediators leave the family after impregnation. There is a massive importance placed on innovation, creativity, and industrialness of individuals. Any person who is capable but refuses to work and contribute to society is shunned and outcasted, and left to their fate at Darwin's hand.
