A polar bear is a type of bear that lives exclusively on the continent of Frostholm. It is the largest of the common bears, and marked by its thick white fur. Polar bears are excellent swimmers and almost entirely carnivorous, rather than omnivorous like other bears.

Anatomy
Polar bears are truly massive ursids, with the males measuring almost ten feet in length and weighing almost a ton. Polar bears have a more elongated body and snout then brown bear and it has stocky legs and large, flat feet. In addition to their thick fur, polar bears possess a thick layer of body fat to stave off the bitter cold of the northern winters.
