Arcturian System

The Arcturian System is a binary star system located approximately 10 light-years from the galactic center. It consists of two main-sequence stars, Arcturian Prime and Arcturian Secundus, which orbit each other at a distance of approximately 0.5 AU. The system is notable for its high concentration of heavy elements, which has given rise to a number of unique planetary bodies and astronomical phenomena.   The most notable of these is the planet Arcturian III, a large terrestrial world with a highly elliptical orbit that takes it from the inner edge of the system's habitable zone to the outer reaches of its cold, dark extremities. Despite the challenges posed by its erratic orbit, Arcturian III is home to a thriving ecosystem of extremophilic lifeforms, which have evolved unique adaptations to cope with the planet's harsh and variable conditions.   The Arcturian System is also home to a number of other notable celestial bodies, including the Arcturian Asteroid Belt, a dense ring of rocky and metallic debris that orbits between Arcturian Prime and Arcturian Secundus, and the Arcturian Nebula, a vast cloud of ionized gas and dust that glows with an eerie, otherworldly light.   The Draken have established a number of research outposts and mining facilities in the Arcturian System, taking advantage of its rich mineral resources and unique astrobiological properties. The system has become a major hub of scientific research and technological development, attracting some of the brightest minds from across the Andarion Galaxy.
