Three-headed fire-breathing serpent

This serpent lived in the Pit of Bones underneath a rickety rope bridge in the Cave of the Sleeping Bogatyrs. Though Agapia had become faintly aware of his presence earlier, the Serpent Slayers returned to find out what the path of Death held for them. The serpent obliged, slithering out from under the bones, it took flight, and began to belch fire at them, and to try to swallow them. It caused Agapia and Zorina to flee from it, nearly killed Yuri with its fearsome bite, and only Misha's boar spear, charged with divine power, stopped him from doing so. The return of a bow-wielding Zorina distracted him somewhat, and Agapia annoyed him with a rebuke: God made snakes without legs. But Misha finished him with an inspired thrust, and thus, became a Serpent Slayer.
