Sigurd Karlsson

A Rover mercenary leader and sometime associate of Rurik Halfdansson. The two have had a falling out on account of Rurik's recent conversion. In return, Rurik has asked the party to carry out collection duties from nearby villages that owe him tribute, because he no longer trusts Sigurd.
Sigurd is the leader of a group of mercenaries that is charged with the protection of Prince Vladimir Sviatoslavovich's kremlin. The band includes Magnus Ragnarsson, who seems to be sent away on various expeditions. Sigurd acts as a security chief for the prince, and in this capacity, he is in charge of Vadim, who reports to him.
