The Kalashtar
When one delves too deep into the Cosmos, both the flesh and the mind are altered. The mind becomes tuned to the Cosmic frequency and can Dream the deepest of all. This is the way of the Kalashtar; beings of the Dream with the power to tune it. Such beings are products of intense, frequent Lucidiation and are almost exclusively members of the Lucidiette Mass.
A Kalashtar is a confluence of a mortal and the Dream, and as such a Kalashtar can originate from any of the Dreaming mortal races. Kalashtar Humans, Dweor, Aelves, and even Half-Oruk exist on Croft. Because of this, "Kalashtar" is often cited as a mutation and not a race, but being so divergent from their origin species, Kalashtars have been given a denomination of their own.
