Ophelia Thorne

Novaria’s current president, Ophelia Thorne, was elected just 3 years ago. Ophelia is the daughter of Caspian Thorne, a member of the Technomancers’ Liberation Front who passed away during Operation Exodus. She grew up during the Primus Civil War and wishes for her nation to have peace and prosperity during her time as president. Ophelia started out in her career working as an intern for public affairs, and has only moved up the ranks the longer she worked. Out of respect for her father and what she believes is best, Ophelia wishes to uphold the Technomancers’ ideals during her time as president. She strongly encourages the public to be active in politics, vote, and participate in civic engagement to create a more informed and empowered society. As president, the most notable achievements Ophelia has been involved with is the passing of a bill approving the development of public libraries with free internet access to all citizens and starting environmental conservation initiatives aimed at preserving the nation's aquatic life (the recent surge of trade by boat seen in Novaria had been taking a toll on aquatic life near shore). Ophelia's dedication to her father's ideals and her commitment to peace and progress have earned her the respect and support of both former members Technomancers' Liberation Front and the broader population, which is why she has been a popular candidate in recent years.
