Genestheos Military

Genestheos’ military is very sizable and receives significant funds due to its constant conflict with Estheos. Additionally, it is directed by its need to protect the Jewel of River Dragon from being stolen. Its military consists of over 1.5 million soldiers that make up three separate units: the Jewel Guard, the border patrol, and a typical army. The Jewel Guard consists of about one hundred elite soldiers trained for the sole duty of protecting the Jewel of River Dragon. Soldiers in this position are at the top of the pack; they are the most expert soldiers and revered by all. It is the goal of many to become skilled enough to earn a job as a Jewel Guard, as it is the most respectable of positions in the military and is highly honored. Genestheos’ also has an entire unit dedicated to border patrol. This group overwatches the border between Genestheos’ land and Estheos’ territory, keeping a watchful eye on the Blood River and any other means by which Estheos’ might enter to launch an attack. This makes up roughly one-third of the entire military. The rest of the military consists of the army, which remains on guard in Genestheos’ capital, ready on standby for deployment at any time (which may be whenever Estheos gets too close or threatening). Genestheos' military, fueled by dedication and the pursuit of honor, remains steadfast in its mission to protect the Jewel of River Dragon and ensure the safety and sovereignty of the realm.
