Lennöri

In the early days of the First Age, the Lennöri left the lakes of their ancestors in favor of the deep wilds of Sümilennä, where instead of calm currents and deep waters they encountered treacherous rapids and moss-covered cliffs. Despite the dangers of the region's geography, the Lennöri were drawn in by the wildlife which had prospered under ancient trees and beneath their roots.

Leaving behind the ways of fishing, the Lennöri instead developed stronger bows and sharper arrows, with the making of one's own bow becoming, eventually, an important part of their coming of age tradition. Simple, temporary bridges became something of an art as well to allow individuals to pass from one side of narrow gorges and rapid currents to the other.

Though their lifestyle differed from that of the Eltiri, in other ways the Lennöri kept with tradition more than not. The dead were buried in the depths of caves plentiful in the region, with their marks carved in trees or within the caves themselves.

Vast network of caves and caverns offered shelter from winter as well, and the Lennöri became accustomed to spending most of the frozen months inside these spaces hidden undergound. They never ventured too deep underground, however, and kept as much within sight of the outside as was possible.
