How is the Mitist Ritual Performed?
The mitist ritual is done in Koda's Temple. The only people in the temple during the ritual are the chief, the child, and a medium. In order to do the ritual, there are a few items that are needed.
- A Hijab, or Veil
- Fish
- The holy text of the Lovous rules
The chief only supervises the ritual in case something goes wrong or the gods want to wait for the ritual to be performed on a certain child. The child sits on a mat as the medium reads off the Holy texts, the medium will tell the child the 10 laws. The child then puts on the veil or Hijab, and after that says prayers and eats the fish. Then the medium reads the holy texts again to finish off the ritual.
What happens after the Ritual?
After the ritual, the village has a celebration where they dance, eat food, and the child for performed the ritual meets others their age, to learn for them. The ritual is normally performed on multiple children at the same time, but special children such as the children of the chief. They have their own ritual.
