The Gentleloosa is a quadruped. Males and Females are patterned with diamonds, squares and oval shapes.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Some are saddled with gold accessories. Their feet are dainty. This detail makes them ready for Paso Fino steps. No Gentleloosa looks exactly like any other Gentleloosa. Gentleloosas are all colors.

Genetics and Reproduction

Gentleloosas are born only in the wild. Hamlet vets stake out hiding perches to watch colts being born. The vets rarely see the entire event, but they agree mares birth only one colt during spring. Other times of the year, including summer are not suitable for raising colts. A ornery species of Flyceswatters annoy adult Loosas and injure colts during summer.

Growth Rate & Stages

Gentleloosa colts grow rapidly. They thrive eating the grass between the Distraction Desert and Forlorn Forest. They don't overeat. The eat enough to mature in three months time. Hamlet scientists are determined to study the magically nutritious grasses that feed the Gentleloosa. Hamlet Loosa owers travel for three days and nights to harvest the grasses. Otherwise domestic GentleLoosas stop eating.

Ecology and Habitats

Gentleloosas prefer to sleep in the house with their owners. Their beautiful manes are easily snarled. Barn hay sticks to their hair and makes them sneeze.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Most Gentleloosas like carrots. Some like raisins. A few like carrot cake. It is important not to spoil them.

Behaviour

If Gentleloosas are allowed to eat carrot cake for long periods of time, they get fat. If they are forced to stay in the barn, they get wet. Angry Loosas that are forced to diet or stay in the barn are prone to forget their gentle natures. The Hamlet Chamber of Commerce cautions Gentleloosa owners to consider their care a honorable duty.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Once a Loosa is adopted, it is loyal only to one owner. Loosas are Hamlet Whisperers. They can learn whatever language is used by the natives. Since thirty to forty languages and dialects are spoken in Lost Words Hamlet, this is another reason the Loosa is so valuable. Riding a Gentleloosa is like flying on a soft pillow. It glides across a blue sky and spreads its tail wings over its rider during a thunder storm.
