Keolish Conquest

Summary

The Keolish Conquest, also known as the Wetland Crusades, was the conquest of the Saltmarsh Region by the Kingdom of Keoland under the rule of King Skotti. The war officially marks the beginning of the current, recorded Keolish Calendar and lasted roughly 40 years-- from Year 0 to Year 40.
During this war, the cities of Saltmarsh, Burle, and Cloud Peaks were officially claimed or annexed by Keoland, and the settlement of Flimrick's Camp was established as well.
The main rebel forces that resisted the conquest were the bandits of the Hool Marshes-- which were ultimately wiped out-- and the confederate pirates known as the Sea Princes. When the Sea Princes retreated to the Turtle Island in Year 40, the Keolish monarchy officially declared the war to be over.
