Tersten, the fourth planet in the Gavil system, is a proud, but backwater human planet in the Lordanian Cluster. Led by the Republic of Tersten and overseen by the Second Lordanian Republic, the planet continues on as it has for decades.

A cold, icy world, Lorriman is home to The Institute, a technorepublic. Lorriman is largely isolated from its neighbors, and while a part of the Second Lordanian Republic, it is largely left to its own affairs.
