Hyperion
Hyperion is a K-Type Main Sequence Star located around 10 light-years from Sol. It is the capital of The Bulwark, and contains a significant amount of military infrastructure and development. The system contains several unimportant gas giants, and one occupied planet, Artos.
The Hyperion system contains two significant orbital facilities; Fleet Station Four, at the Artos-Helios L5 Lagrange point; and the Hyperion Gateway, which is connected to Fleet Station Four in one giant megastructure.
Artos
Artos is a hot and choking world, quietly smoldering at the inner edge of Hyperion's habitable zone. The planet is volcanic, but not violent. Considered to be a smokestack world, the planet's internal activity leaks to the surface as plumes of thick black smoke. It has one major settlement, Viskan, which has close ties to both installations in the system. Viskan is settled at the planet's northern pole, where temperatures are cool enough to support liquid water.Fleet Station Four
The Hyperion Garrison is the headquarters of Sol's Anvil Fleet, and is the largest naval base of its kind, capable of defending much of Inner Sol. Practically a city in space unto itself, the Fleet Station Four is home to a hodgepodge of soldiers, civilians, government services, and a wide array of private enterprises all catering to either the naval base, or the Hyperion Gateway, which connects the Bulwark to Sol. This fact alone is what has allowed the Hyperion System as a whole to weather multiple economic recessions and has allowed it to establish itself as a premier commercial and military centre of the wider UNSAS.
