Afro-Arabic

Afro-Arabic is a culture group that developed largely on Earth around the turn of the 22nd century as large scale migrations into the arcology of New Benin forced many people together. Rising temperatures in the Sahel have largely made the Sahara even more inhospitable, and much of East Africa's 21st century coastline has been flooded beyond repair. This inward migration in-part led to the establishment of larger and larger arcologies, allowing Afro-Arabic to spread largely across human space. Numerous planetary cultures are part of this group, such as Martian Tharseese, Cinuan, Gabokaner, Callistonian Volta.
Afro-Arabic has existed since the spread of Islam into Africa. While it remained a minority group until the mid 21st century, the migration of groups into the West African region has refined in a new second wave of Afro-Arabic assimilation, especially on colonised worlds.
