Night of Fire

During the first month of the year, known as the month of Fire, a celebration takes over the world, but none moreso than within the region of Ebonvale and capital city of Eldershear. Every night the skies alight with colorful fireworks, celebrating the life and death of the deity, Bahamut. People travel to Draconic Beach to also shoot off their own fireworks. This is overseen by members of the Order of Eon Tempus to help protect the forest bordering the sandy stretch of beach.

History

The celebration began sometime during the Era of the Deities and was simply a time where people gave tribute to the deity whether it be at the Temple of Bahamut or at smaller temples dedicated to him throughout the world. Since then it has changed into a massive party. Some claim the reason for this was to symbolize the fire he once released in the skies. There are still those who give tithes to Bahamut.

Participants

In Eldershear specifically, the highest ranking guilds attend to protect the city and its citizens. Even the Enforcers are known to show themselves within the crowds. One of the nights, randomly picked each year, the councils of the Order of Eon Tempus and the Temporis Alliance also make their way to Eldershear to celebrate in the home of the celebration.
