Ahovz oversees all mortal longevity; she protects life with her light and keeps a watchful eye over the planet.
She provides the light, that allows the life, and without her there is no light or life.
Followers of Ahovz are varied and cross the whole of Hexadiv; they can come from all walks of life.
Gifts are not required by followers, Ahovz only asks for daily prayer to stay in her good graces. If gifts are to be given they must be placed in a shrine, any church will hold a golden shrine dedicated to the sun goddess. Some are even kept in personal homes for convenience. The items must be placed inside the shrine and the cover lowered, the item will either disappear meaning the goddess wished to have it in her personal possession (this is a sign of good fortune), or it will appear in the crowds of items surrounding the shrine.
Loyalty is the most important thing to the sun goddess, if loyalty or trust is lost a follower will be punished with the removal of all markers and any gifts given by her, they will also be unable to commune with her again. She shuns them entirely, if they gaze at the sun again they may be permanently blinded. She is not to be trifled with, so followers must be sure they fully want to commit.

The 7 Trials:
Once interest is shown an individual must decide within 7 days to follow her, they must produce 7 gifts, and take them to 7 different shrines. On the final day they will be given a unique task to prove their loyalty, if they succeed they will be given a gift or marker and told to hold true to their loyalty or face the consequences.

Being a favored race means the goddess is more aware of calls for help and will choose them over another person of a differing race if both belong to her faith and are in conflict. They are more prone to visions and calls to do work for the goddess.

These blessings of protection were once given to all those Ahovz favored, but overtime she saw allegiances change and some resented her gifts. So she began to remove them from those who no longer desired the appearance, and from those she no longer deemed worthy. Now she sparingly gives out these gifts after loyalty is proven through the 7 trials.
Some pretend to have the protection of the Sun goddess because they have these physical appearances. Occasionally, the noted signs of protection happen naturally without Ahovz intervention, so it is hard to tell who has been truly blessed unless multiple occur at once.

Standings:
Ahovz is in good standing with Starz and Lun. Her bias is against the three demons, her anger is directed at Erif. They have a standing feud. The fire demon loves to get loyal followers to falter and fall from her grace, and Ahovz has a standing mission for her followers to find a way to curse, lock up, or remove the demon. She claims that the person to defeat the fire demon will take over his place as the keeper of fire, and will be given a place as an immortal go

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Ahovz has never been seen by mortal eyes to have a physical body. She appears in the forms of great lights or smaller glimmers or lightning bugs.
From legend her natural body had an luminescence to it, and Starz made her the brightest star to inhabit. Once she merged with that great body her light multiplied, and now she temporarily blinds those she appears to in order to protect them from the true light.
The only ones to have seen her true appearance are the gods, demons, and mediator. Erif makes snide remarks telling everyone that she is hideous and that is why she hides, Earth and water both refuse to speak on the subject. Starz praises her beauty and wonder, but goes into little detail, and Lun prefers not to comment. The mediator is rarely consulted, but legend from those who have reached his island and ask say that he only smiles when asked - never letting slip about her appearance.

The oldest deity of Hexadiv, the Sun Goddess, Ahovz found herself alone in the darkness.
She first met the Starz God, whom she adored for making light. And together they made the Moon Godx, Lun.
Lun brought the three demons after a long trip away.
Starz made Ahovz her great body, and together the six beings made Hexadiv.

Ahovz prefers the lighter things in life. 
Her goal is to spread warmth and security. She takes on a protective role, she shows her protection through golden eyes or large amounts of freckles. These signs are a warning to others that the Sun Goddess is watching over them. 
Though her protection takes on different levels of intervention based on loyalty and activeness of a follower.
While she believes wholeheartedly in protecting others and respecting life, loyalty is her main focus. And that loyalty will be tested.
