Session 81: Do the Safety Dance! Report

General Summary

Moving out of the small closet in Levron's Citadel, and finding a tavern for lunch, the group began discussing plans with Roy's new apprentice, who turned out to have some knowledge of the places they needed to go, as well as the common activities of a (non-adventuring) wizard. They discussed a few options for what Dmitrius could do staying at Levron's Citadel while Roy went out adventuring. After a lot of discussion and debate, it was decided to have Dmitrius setup a modest lab over the next three months somewhere within the citadel. They sent Dmitrius, with Jonas, to buy a journal for Roisin and meet them back at Raynite's Rest later. The party went to the Steelworks to retreive the mithril breastplate they had ordered about a year and a half earlier for Cigfran. The group then went to the open market called "The Dump", where they managed to sell a great deal of materials they had little use for and generate some cash for more useful purchases. Searching for the unusual and offbeat, Roy found the shop of Travin the Tinker. There they discovered a number of magical constructions worth purchasing. They obtained a set of eight earrings of communication; an Instant Barrier; and an Extra-Dimensional Pocket. Proceeding from there to Raynite's Rest, the group met with Dmitrius who explained that he had arranged a private apartment near the planned lab space for the next few months. Roy gave Dmitrius 1000 gold to begin setting up a lab and workspace, then ordered a few rooms at the inn for themselves, distributed the earrings recently purchased, and turned in for a night's rest.
