Roisin Marshfield

I am Roisin Marshfield, youngest daughter of Duke Alathius Marshfield, first of the name. I am a princess of Linibi. I am noble born and of noble lineage, and I was born to lead. I have siblings; my older brother Rian may one day become Duke in our father's stead, my sister Aoife will be wed to a high noble of another realm and become a queen, and even my younger brother Shay will become a leader among men, and ruler of some smaller realm nearby, perhaps the republic of Krithnior when uncle Thraebeig steps down in a few decades. I, however, plan to pursue a life of adventure and excitement, the life of a wandering princess. I have read so many stories of princesses and heroes in the story books, and I intend to emulate such adventures myself. I have even written stories and presented them in local taverns, well disguised. Perhaps I will someday tell great tales of epic adventures like the Loremasters of renown. I recently met an older man, kind but stubborn and flawed. He struck up a conversation one night, and then used magic to show me just how vulnerable I was in such a place. He became a friend and unnoticed guardian for my nights out. My parents keep talking about arranging a marriage, but I have resisted, and finally persuaded mother and father to allow me to travel, with certain companions chosen by father, for a time to learn more of the world and this realm. I hope to find a means to become independent, to spend a life in adventure rather than the dull business of a noble's wife. I have never been more excited.
