Windmill

Wind Turbine

"The humble windmill is often overlooked. We see them every cycle. However, the importance of the structure cannot be overstated. The amount of labor saved by harnessing the winds is immense. No longer will people slave away to crush their grain by hand. The next time you walk past a windmill, thank it for it's work.
I asked a builder of windmills how it works. He says that the windmill is designed to take the directional energy of the wind, turn it into rotational energy, and use that to grind the grain. A truly impressive feat of ingenuity and engineering. The record of the first mill is incomplete, we will never know the name of the person who built it."

Utility

Windmills are used to grind grain into flour.

Manufacturing

The millstones are spun grinding the grain into flour. The flour can be milled again to create an even finer flour but each time, some is lost.

Access & Availability
Windmills are common in Grara  where grain is farmed in large amounts.
Complexity
Knowledge of woodworking and architecture is crucial to building an effective windmill.
Discovery
The story goes that one day someone saw the wheel on a damaged cart spinning in the wind. After some experimentation they were able to create a small windwheel and from there, the windmill.
