Zahara looked at the shield on the wall. It is dented and pierced but it had kept Tanan alive in the war. A piece of wood and hide between life and death. When he got back from the war he hung it on the wall to grant protection to all who live here. Zahara cried.

Manufacturing process

For shield made of wood, first the wood must be joined and shaped. Straps are added to one side for the hand to hold. Then it is treated or covered with a tough hide. For shields made of metal they attach a metal face to the wooden base.
