Faekin

"To many, the fae are a mystery, a magical people who exist beyond the walls of cities and beyond the possibility of understanding. But from time to time someone gets lost and finds themselves among the fae. And sometimes, they return with a child, someone like me.
Unlike other people I have a little insight into what it is to be fae. Humans know time precisely, a powerful internal force that pushes them forward. I have that but sometimes it lapses and I lose all track of time, sometimes for cycles. This is how the fae live, with no concept of time."

Basic Information

Anatomy

Faekin resemble their non-fae parent in most respects. The difference is that each faekin takes on a trait similar to their fae parent. For example, if a fae had a skull for a head, a faekin may have their skin appear to be stretched really tight over their face.

Genetics and Reproduction

The process that leads to the creation of a faekin is unknown but is popularly believed to be magic.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Fae avoid centers of civilization and as such, faekin are often found in small lonely villages nestled in untouched valleys and deep in old woods.
