Attendant

The organizer behind every leader.

"There as many different kinds of leaders are there are people who lead. However, there are more kinds of attendants in one person than there are leaders on the skies. While a leader is busy meeting, speaking, and writing, and attendant needs to make sure they remember to eat, organize the many people who want to speak with them, and so much more. It is an important job, not the job for me though. I prefer to be out on the plains."
— Tasiir of the People of the Horse

One Job, Many Tasks

An attendant is a person who serves a single individual - though occasionally a couple or small group - usually someone in a position of power and leadership. The tasks of an attendant vary based on the individual they serve and an extremely powerful individual may have many attendants each specializing in a certain task.   Attendants are generally responsible for scheduling the lives of the person they serve, when they wake, get prepared, eat, meet, sleep, and relax. In a situation where one attendant is responsible for all of these actions, they will get very little rest as every waking moment - and often their dreams - will be spent on work.

Attendant, Not Helper

"Now, be careful when getting into this line of work, I have seen more than a couple attendants banished from their homes and stuck away from their families because of the follies of their boss. I warned them, as I warn you now, to make informed decision when accepting job offers."
There are many people who help leaders but not all of them are attendants. Some are allies, beneficiaries, friends, and people who want favor. An attendant is a person who is bound to another. The success of the leader is the success of the attendant and a leader's failure an attendant's. In many cases a leader who falls out of favor and ends up in exile or on the chopping block sees their attendant beside them.
