Vateos, God of the Underworld
From the life spark of the Primordial Titan of Order, brought forth from the final beat of their heart, Vateos is the God of the Hellanic Pantheon that people wish never to meet, but are still welcomed into their kind embrace like one would an old friend. Stories of Vateos often present them as the only deity that ensures that the others are as cared for, willing to lift up those in his arms when they are no longer able to do so for others. Worshippers know that when their time comes, and if they’ve lived good lives, they’ll be able to finally rest. Everyone from Gravekeepers to Kings give blessings to Vateos, praying they may not yet meet him on this day, averting their faces from his idols when they do so.
Vateos is often depicted as a Minotaur with ashen fur, or a silver skeleton, wrapped in a black cloak.

Tenets of Faith
- Be kind unto others
- Treat the dead with the respect you would expect to receive
- All are equal in Vateos eyes, for Death is a release, not a punishment.
- Stand against those that would artificially prolong their life beyond natural limits, such as the undead.
Holidays
The Day of the Departed – 40th of Eskios
The last day of Eskios, and the last true month before Krasios, is a time of great reverence. This moment is used to pray to those that had departed through the year, and give offerings to Vateos in the hope that they will be merciful to them when their time comes. This is normally a somber day, where people wear nothing but black and keep their head down in mournful prayer.
