The Dominion of Nol
Scaifian
Fair, Autocratic, Idealising Honour
---------------------------------------------------------
Nol is, historically, a strange country. It's skies are always gloomy with dark clouds, rainstorms hit at the worst time for those that travel upon the road, in a manner that is referred to outsiders as 'Psychotropic Weather'.
This is to say nothing of the many remote castles, and the dour gloomy state of the land in general. There are many stories of strange people living in the castles, of vampires, ghouls, therianthropes, and maniacal monster makers, all said to prey upon the populace of Nol, not that they seem to mind.
Curiously, Nol is entirely self sufficient, not relying upon the outside world. Though many traders come and go through Nol, very few leave natively from it. In fact, very few people leave Nol in general, preferring to remain within their homeland.
Nol marks the years by the name of their ruler, the Gemician. As of 1700 C.T., it is the 6th Year of Melchior's Reign. Very few remember the Gemician Tyrant that ruled before him, but clearly they must have been terrible for Melchior to inspire the populace to rise up and supplant him. As imperfect as Melchior is, he is preferable to the last fellow, whoever they were.
The dominant populaces of Nol are Humans, with a smattering of Elves supporting their numbers through the land.
