Kyniko, God of Hunting
Born from pain, and the ever-burning desire of the great hunt, once held by Asranos, Kyniko is the Grand Master of the Eternal Hunt. It is said that Kyniko’s Eternal Hunt transcends the dimensions, travelling through the myriad of realms on the hunt of an unknown quarry. Followers of Kyniko believe that eating from the flesh of their quarry grants them certain strengths, though the exact nature of this differs from sect to sect. In the early days of Healthen, the worship of Kyniko was far more savage in nature, to the degree that the worship of Kyniko was very nearly outlawed. With the changing of time, Modern Healthen has altered the nature of their worship of Kyniko, though some Hunting Cults remain. Most followers of Kyniko tend to be hunters and trackers, invoking their name whenever they engage on their personal hunts.
Kyniko is most often depicted as a Minotaur with Golden Horns, wrapped in the various leathers and furs of their hunts, or as a Red headed Ape.

- The thrill is in the chase, and the glory lies at its end.
Holidays
The Great Hunt - 39th to 40th of Kynios
The Great Hunt is a hold over day from far more savage times, where a random citizen is chosen from the settlement and sent packing into the wilds. They are permitted to run, being given an hour head start, before being chased a day and a night. If the Prey is able to escape from the Hunters, and return safely to the central square of their settlement by the evening of the 40th, the great feast will honor them and crown them with the Helm of the Great Hunt. Should they fail, they are dragged back to the settlement and their Hunters are given this respect instead.
