The Breeder Enna Ironwood
Since a young age, Enna had a fascination with the care and protection of what some would deem monsters.
Born the youngest of five (Azaki the Divine, Xanaphia the Worker, Theren the Herder and Shanairla the Soldier), to Firbolg Tribal leader Hadarai and a ranger mother named Sariel, her fascination with the unique had often gotten her into deep trouble. While her father deeply disapproved of her
love and care for creatures that could no doubt endanger their tribe
and the Eisenwald, her mother was determined to foster this side of
Enna. So much so that in her seventh year, Sariel gave Enna a copy of
Volo's Guide to Monsters.
While Enna disagreed with this book, and it's route to kill rather than protect, it was a start to learn, and her mother taught her as best she could.
She was taught to hand rear and care for all the creatures she met, and above all, facilitate their continued care. She began to gradually understand that 9 times out of 10, the only reason a creature would attack the tribe or other beings was due to it being in season. While the
firbolg prided themselves in caring for the creatures that were normally docile, none was taken for the more dangerous beasties of the land.
In her seventeenth year, Enna's mother fled the Eisenwald. It was only then that Enna began to understand the cruelty of her father, that Sariel had tried to protect her from. With her mother gone, Hadarai's disapproval for what Enna did became more and more apparent, and his distaste was frequent, as was his wrath.
In her twentieth year, she met a young wood elf by the name of Vadania Ethanasath. She too shared a fascination and love for nature with Enna, and quickly championed her cause to protect creatures, regardless of the danger they caused. Due to the disapproval of her father, and from Vadania's own side, they would meet in secret.
Enna fell in love with Vadania that year.
In her twenty fifth year, a group of adventurers were passing through and met with the tribe. They had been hunting a rogue Girallon. and it was running wild through the Eisenwald. Enna had been wary of this news, and set off in search of this Girallon herself.
When she found it, she knew that this Girallon was not merely “going rogue”. This Girallon was defending it's territory and it's young. The Adventurers had clearly disturbed it and it's young, and Enna simply could not let them kill this poor creature.
When the adventurers arrived, Enna tried to reason with them. She tried to defend the Girallon. But the leader of this band, a Monk named Roger Emeny, took great umbridge at this and tried to attack Enna in turn. It was only for the defence of another member of the party, a halfling named
Wenner Whispermouse, that saved Enna from the full brunt of his
wrath. Luckily for her, she only suffered multiple scars across her
body, and the loss of three fingers (Ring and pinkie on her left hand, and the pinkie on her right hand).
The Girallon escaped from the band of adventurers, and headed straight for her tribal lands.
No matter what she did to stop it, the Girallon made it to her tribe and wrecked untold damage, before finally being slaughtered.
Angered that his daughter put their tribe in danger, despite her numerous protests, she was cast out from the tribe and duly informed that if she was ever seen in the Eisenwald again, she would be killed in the name of protection of their tribe.
To ensure her disappearance, her own family chased her from the woods. She ran for days until she finally left the boundaries of the Eisenwald.
Alone, unable to turn to anyone, she walked for what seemed like weeks. When she finally snapped into reality, she was sat in a forest she did not recognise, and utterly alone. She was consumed by feelings of loneliness and contemplated, in that moment, ending it all.
Looking upward, thinking of the ways she could end her loneliness, she spotted a small schism between this world and the next. She could feel a cool breeze coming from this schism, and the scent of lavender. For that moment, she wished that she could have been with someone to enjoy this moment.
The sad feelings returned as the portal before her slid shut into nothingness.
That was until she felt a small tug at the sleeve of her right shoulder, and saw a tiny creature down beside her; It was a Boggle. As he stayed with her, this little Boggle came to be her greatest friend. She named him
Hoggle.
For the next thirty five years, Enna and Hoggle scoured the country of Korbal and the neighbouring lands, performing small odd jobs and raising coin as best they could. On their last little adventure, descending deep into some ancient cavern to recover stolen artifacts, they recovered a treasure map for further reward. Determined that this would be an adventure for another day, Enna and Hoggle hoarded up some coin and returned to Korbal and the depths of another forest, the Blutwald.
There, they purchased all they needed to make up a safe haven to live in and tried to purchase as much land as she could, with the sole intention of protecting the creatures that lived within the Blutwald.
She worked diligently, making some assistance from neighbouring druids, until she received a visit from a Young Human named Eft Urodella, who wanted some assistance in creating a guide to creatures of the world, and their habitats. Their lifespans and their breedings habits. In short, a guide that would do what Volo's Guide to
Monsters had never done.
Enna said yes.

Mental Trauma
Physically attacked for trying to save a Girillon by an adventuring party, and then her family before being chased for her life from her homeland until she arrived in the Blutwald. The physical abuse and trauma were enough to drag her into a deeply suicidal state.
