Mizar Dutera

The second planet from the Mizar Core and the smallest of all planets in thr Aethfin Region. Unlike it's sister planets in the Mizarian Triad, Dutera is tidal locked in relation to the core. It's smaller size coupled with a thick atmosphere allow it the generous ability to be half covered in a vast ocean, while it's darker half is covered in thriving swamp land.
Dutera has a day light cycle based on it's orbit away and toward the further Outer Stars. As such, it enjoys a so called night on the swamp side roughly every 227 clicks.

A World in Two Parts

Mizar Dutera seen from space is clearly split into two parts: The vast, warm Dutera Ocean and the swampy Grand Morass.

Dutera Ocean

While posessing a handful of islands, such as the pristine Crystal Mountain Archipelago, this vast ocean makes up more 50% of Dutera's physical form. It's highly salty composition makes it difficult for plant life to grow in the area.
