Melody Marino (a.k.a. Mel)

Born to an Italian Mafia Don and a Black Queen, six minutes after her sister, (at least that was the story according to Everly). Melody’s in-charge personality waits for no one.

General Physical Condition

Mel stood at 5 foot 10 with smooth caramel colored skin and light hazel brown eyes that held more secrets than a decade old time capsule buried on the beach on the night of prom. Her lips were plump, full and smooth with a heart shaped face.
Mel usually had a mess of light brown strands which she often wore up in a ponytail or painfully straight down her back. Most days, she didn’t care what she looked like. A t-shift and jeans was good enough. She usually fit right in along with most humans appearance wise. Although most would say she closely resembled a model, Mel however, couldn’t careless.

Special abilities

Often wearing a sun pendant, Mel had the power to control heat, specifically fire. A power she used as often as she could. It was too great a gift to keep hidden and concealed. No one really knew the full extent of her powers other than Everly.
Unlike Everly’s, Mel powers were instilled in her. She was after all a means to be everything her sister was not. Matteo made sure of that.

Personal history

While her sister was naturally born, Melody was made in a tube in spite of Everly. Their parents crafted Mel to take over her father’s business and follow in his footsteps simply because her sister would not.
Altered memories for Everly but never for Mel. She’s had grown up, trained to be a weapon of her father’s, and when he had trained her to his heart's content, he demanded she replace her sister, permanently. Needless to say, Mel wasn’t with that and Everly found out. The twins plotted and overthrew him. To this day, Mel still doesn’t entirely know where her father is or what her sister had done.
To say it has driven a wedge between the two would be an understatement of the century. Though they did have a good run, managing the business together with Everly as the brains and Mel as the brawn. Mel did what she knew best, raising hell which generally meant she was in charge of recruitment and the muscle. Takedowns, overthrows, assassinations, and the like.
That is until she had enough of her sister’s secrets. It was time to stop asking for permission and to stop hiding behind her own secrets.
One way or another, the truth was coming out.

Much like her twin, Mel is a headstrong, courageous, and quick-witted woman. Unlike her twin though, Mel was angry, secretive yet sensitive, and destructive.
