John Seolfor

John Seolfor (a.k.a. Silver)

John Seolfor, the "Silver" is a rather greedy and cunning wendigo, but he has shown in his past to have a caring side too. He dislikes unnecessary acts of violence and cruelty, finding it oft times as wasteful and a sign you cannot think up a better solution. John is generally honest and honorable in his dealings, preferring to flaunt his affability to negotiate others to see his side. Nonetheless, this doesn't mean John is a weakling unable to defend himself as he maintains a constant air of harsh brutality and deception around strangers understandably necessary considering his past. His loyalty tends to flip flop, causing him to look unaffiliated with others besides his own needs.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

John commonly comes off as a bit out of shape. Showing how he's getting into his middle years, this comes in bits of extra on his gut, but it might also be all the beer. Nevertheless John shows incredible balance, agility, strength, and speed given his age in his human form. His left leg has a noticable limp to it, though it does not slow John down.

Body Features

John's overall body type isn't anything to write home about. He has some soft spots, a handful of sore spots, and a fair share of scars. A bit of a beer gut and very little in the sense of muscle sums up the overall shape of John hidden under his dirty oil and dirt stained clothes.   John's feral form however does not disappoint. John is a rather tall and formidable wendigo, hitting thirteen feet with long claws greatly curved like many hooks rather than blades. He is rather uniquely colored, his fur a shiny silvery light grey with very faint darker grey dorsal streak. To this extent he looks more like a werewolf besides the skull face and antlers. John's feet are cat like with thick soft back paws housing retractable claws, all the better for sneaking and theiving. A sizable scar breaks up the otherwise flawless fur along his upper left thigh, diviting in his skin as well.

Facial Features

John is notable losing his young looks, his nose more round than it once was, with a heavy low brow, rather broad faced but still warm looking enough to always appear friendly. He has a noticable small gap beween his two front teeth.   His feral form is a bare skull face, but looking very white and glossy. His antlers are slightly darker, being pale whitetail type antlers with five tines per antler.

Identifying Characteristics

John sports a gap in the middle between his two front teeth. John walks about with a noticable limp, and sports a nasty scar that aludes to the creation of said limp.

Physical quirks

John is afflicted by a permanent limp. However this does little to slow him down. John may hop more like a bird in short trips in a small space where he is working, saving himself from putting weight on the limb. At other times, this can give his hulking frame a sense that you should not fuck with this dude.

Special abilities

Apparel & Accessories

John is a collector. He has many chains, necklaces and rings in which he likes to adorn his antlers in.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

John was born as he is today; a wendigo. Living in North Carolina, he was always found roaming the beach instead of the deep hills due to distance. As a child he was fascinated in the old state's history surrounding one such Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard, and he took a deep fond interest into the genre of pirates and all that came with it. He amassed large collections of shells and other finds that he deemed worthy of treasure and hoarded it in his room in a box with an old broken lock. This never really stopped or changed, it was only kicked into a hiding spot under his bed as he hit his teen years. Unlike most wendigo however, John was lucky in that his interest in piracy history was considered normal. It allowed him to gather friends. However as time went on and they grew into newer interests, they would fade from John's life. The interest ensured that he would always have friends though, since people routinely gained an affection for pirates. That increased with the disney film some twenty years ago. Interest soared, and John saw so much activity at the museum of piracy that he worked at that for the first time ever he felt suffocated, yet so fullfilled to be surrounded by like minds. And that's when he met *her*.   Melody Flint was a small, quiet and sheepish woman, but had become a frequent visitor to the museum. Most would come once, maybe twice before moving on from the fad. But not Melody, she returned time and again to the museum, her eyes still full of interest as she stared at the same old exhibits and manuscripts as before. She often talked to John, who when was free from the gift shop wandered about just outside their doors on the exhibit floor. Melody very quickly started to visit the museum to see John rather than the artifacts. She always brought something as well, often times cookies which John would eat just to make her happy, even if it ruined his gut the rest of the day. He suffered in silence to avoid upsetting her with a refusal. One to take a lot of time of decisions it was a few months before he even asked her out, and the two had a good laugh at the fact she was all but done waiting and seconds from asking him out herself. Of course it was to go see the second Pirates film. Neither would have had it any other way.   As things began to get serious between them, Silver felt the need to come clean. Despite how human he had lived all his life, handling far better luckily than most wendigo, he was still a cannibalistic monster. But if anything, this only intrigued Melody more. It truly was as if the two had been destined for eachother. They moved in with one another, married, and the topic of her changing never came up. Not even during the months of John expecting to be a father. Melody emerged from the ordeal still human, and they unanimously decided to name their son Jack.   But sometimes bad things happen to the best people.   Sometimes the best people change when something bad has happened to them.   John, ever the quiet and careful one about what he was had attracted the attention of a hunter through his constant need to secure food, always meat, his scent, and his features. There had been no warning for John. He had gone out on one of his long solo walks that night, combing the beach for shells to bring home, for now he colleced them for Melody. As it grew late, John finally called his walk to an end, got in his car, and headed home. His door had been kicked in. As he approached, John heard no sounds from within. Through the door, the house had been destroyed. Frantically John searched room by room for his family til he reached his and Melody's bedroom. She lay dead, murdered for the sake of simply living so closely with a wendigo. And Jack? John doesn't want to remember what his own one year old son looked like when he found him.   In that instant, John, the friendly, generous and extroverted pirate loving man, lost every shred of his humanity. His son was gone, his wife was gone, and a gnawing hunger she had burried for years suddenly had rammed itself to the forefront of his brain. All he wanted was revenge. The hunter was now the hunted, and John was closing in rapidly, blazing through the dead of night with eyes aflame by hatred. He neglected to hesitate, storming into the house like a hurricane after tracking the man that murdered his family all the way into the hills. But it was not an easy fight; the hunter had silver.   It was perhaps his own anger, and luck that John won the fight, at the expense of his thigh being stabbed, a handful of nerves severed along with a massive bleeding wound. Still John was victorious, the obvious lingering about him like a mist; it did not bring his family back, and there was no going back. John returned to gather up his old chest of shells he had given to Melody that he had been collecting shells for, some of her jewelry, and disappeared into the wilds.   Police labeled it a robbery turned murder. He was listed as a missing person, never found.   For twenty years, John has lived as a monster. Occasionally his human side will slip through, helping visitors and travelers he comes across in the national park he lived in. But most times, John is thieving, and sometimes dragging them off to be eaten. Two full decades of hiding from his past.

The silver, and voracious.
