Battle Claws - MK1

A pair of ordinary looking gloves, at first glance. They each have a screen on their back and two buttons. One button will deploy claws out their tips, the other will spray an aerogel based fire retardant from a custom storage-bladder under the screen (it's curved to fit the glove's contours).
The claws are made of a custom titanium-alloy with a silver coating bonded to the surface. They are designed to kill a wendigo. They're likely to be equally effective on creatures with a similar silver weakness such as werewolves. The silver coating is designed to flake off in nano-quanitities, leaving silver molecules in the wounds of the victim. The quantity left behind is minimal compared to the overall coating, BUT optimized to maximize lethality. WHen not in use, the claws retract into the top of the glove. There is a titanium finger cup' that goes around the end of Lee's finger to maximize leverage. This is the mount for the claw mechanism.
The screen section contains a small computer and speaker. There are nano-fibers embedded throughout the glove. When the fingers are moved, the movements are detected and used to determine the gesture being made. If the gesture matches to ASL, the gloves will speak out the dialogue matching the hand movements. This component of the gloves has limited durability. If a full finger of the glove is severed or simiar damage, the ASL translator will be heavily impaired, misreading or refusing to read altogether, depending on the words used.
Tesla has tested the gloves as waterproof up to 300 meters of submersion for 5 hours. The main weave of the gloves is a kevlar-composite, making them extremely durable. It is too thin of a weave to survive multiple bullet hits. The sensing fibers likely will not survive severe trauama from a bullet impact in that region, BUT they are heavily redundant.

Significance

These gloves give Lee Winship a significant battle-advantage against other lycanthropes. They were designed to be used on his brother, Alex mainly. Without these gloves, it is very difficult for Lee Winship to be completely lethal or even hold his own against other Wendigos without requiring an extremely drawn out endurance battle.

These gloves are one of several variants produced by Tesla. They are hand-made and only one pair of each set exists. Villain organizations may attempt to copy them, but that is unlikely, they are purpose-built to Lee's fighting style. Most other fighters would have no use for them.

Raw materials & Components

The bulk of the gloves is a custom kevlar-composite weave with some nano-carbon reinforcements. The material is sufficient to withstand a few bullet impacts, but will not cushion the blunt force trauma of impact. The sensing wires are filaments who's resistance changes with their stretching.
Titanium alloy is used for the claws and all related mechanisms. The actuators are electrical.
Lithium-Polymer batteries are used to power the gloves. They're able to operate for about 10 hours per charge. They can be fully recharged in 30 minutes using a USB battery bank.

Tools

It is extremely expensive to produce these gloves. They were originally made in an incredibly advanced lab. The equipment there is able to custom-weave and formulate Kevlar, machine Titanium, and so on. Titanium 3D printing was used for some of the actuator components.
