Nakiton, the God of Trickery

Nakiton is the god of mischief and trickery, innovation and ambition, and of luck and misfortune. People will pray to Nakiton for good luck even if they don't particularly follow him, and will often blame bad things that happen on him. Nakiton favors those who are clever and able to take advantage of bad situations to achieve their goals despite long odds.

  • Divine Symbols & Sigils

Nakiton's symbol is a cat, usually white. Because of this people associate white cats with good luck and have superstitions that black cats bring misfortune.   The full motions of prayer to Nakiton is to hold your hand as thought grasping something and touch it first to your mouth, then to your chest. People will often times actually be holding something when doing this, whether a holy symbol, a particular memento, or something they consider lucky (and an embodiment of Nakton). Touching it first to your lips is for a kiss of luck, and then you formally bring it to your chest to symbolize bringing the luck into oneself. The common, abbreviated motion is to simply touch a symbol of luck, often times just a coin, to your lips, although this has evolved into a variety of other forms, mostly associated with gambling, such as blowing on dice.

    Colors

Nakiton's primary color is yellow, for opportunity, with a secondary color of dark magenta (#8b008b) for imagination and passion.

    Weapon

Nakiton wields a massive two handed heavy flail, but dedicated members of the clergy usually train with a standard flail or morning star, but some monastic orders to him use long daggers.
